Yup, I am now officially in the Christmas mood. Finally the retail world has had it's fill and we can now regain some normality in life yet again. Thanks to all the people that shop for gifts for it is they that pay my wages. God Bless every last one of them.
MERRY CHRISTMAS, everyone !!!!!!
Welcome to my weaving shed. This is where I share my accomplishments, experiments, experiences, and sometimes disasters. I weave on floor looms, table looms, spin and dye fibers. I crochet and knit on Knitting Machines and an antique circular Auto Knitter, too. This is my escape, my quiet space, my therapy. So, WELCOME.

work and no time for play... makes me a bored girl
I work in retail and this is the busiest time of the year for us. All year long it's business as usuall, but Thanksgiving weekend and Christmas Holidays are tense. Sales are trending down and so they are working us harder than any other time. Can't hire extra help so we have to make it work.
I have towels on my jack loom, rugs on the Union, and runners on the counter-balance loom. I have not really had time to work on much of it though. When I am home, I'm so tired I have no energy to work on my looms.
I suppose that's why I can't wait for the holidays to be over. We get extra time off after the new year. It makes it hard on the kids and hubby, but we make up for it.
All work and no play make me a boring girl indeed. :-(
